I am not at all up on today’s music. I’m sorry to say I’m stuck on the 80’s and haven’t even made an attempt to learn any of the new stuff. I do know that Kanye has been around for awhile and I know that Taylor Swift is a very popular artist. I may not know their music, but I’m not immune to Perez Hilton or TMZ who report on them regularly.

I’ve seen and or heard artists make bad speeches for awards they’ve won. I’ve even heard of actors refusing an Oscar because he didn’t believe in them. I’ve never heard of an artist winning an award, and ANOTHER artist jump on stage and bash the winner. Whether or not Taylor Swift deserved to win her award is really kind of irrelevant. Kanye West had no business jumping on stage, taking the mic out of Swift’s hand and then complain that Beyonce should have won the award for that category.    

It seems like any time I hear Kanye’s name, he’s made a fool of himself for saying something he needn’t have said or done something he needn’t have done. This, by far, takes the cake.

Hats off to Beyonce. Winning the award for best video, Beyonce stepped aside and let Taylor Swift have her moment. That’s class.

Needless to say, it wouldn’t matter to me at this point whether or not Kanye was the only artist playing anywhere on the radio now. You couldn’t pay me enough to listen to anything he has to say.

Congratulations to Taylor Swift and Beyonce!
